Anomaly 3 - “Sufferers”
rating: +3+x

Anomaly 3, more commonly known as Sufferers, are non-docile humanoid anomalies that wander the Voidclusters.

» APPEARANCE:

Sufferers are humanoid anomalies with pale skin. Sufferers appear to be in a permanently hunched-over position, looking at the ground. Sufferers lack most facial features; instead, their faces are completely covered by a huge orifice. Sufferers have an approximate height range of 1.70 meters to 3 meters. Their legs appear to be disproportionally taller than the rest of their body. Sufferers possess hands; however, they seem to be webbed together, similar to frog feet.

» BEHAVIOR:

As Sufferers seem to lack any type of vision or sense of smell, they use their vocalizations from their huge orifice to locate themselves. These sounds have been described as being similar to those of "a weeping man," hence their name.

Sufferers are lonely anomalies who tend to avoid company. Because of this, they're considered a mostly docile anomaly; however, one should not be fooled by these comments. Sufferers can and will use their powerful vocalizations to lure prey. Many cases have been reported of a Sufferer perfectly imitating the screams of animals, people, or complete sentences. However, one can differentiate Sufferers from humans because, at the end of each vocalization, their loud, inhuman breathing can be heard.
Sufferers are fast anomalies, capable of reaching 32 km/h in a matter of short seconds. Due to this, escaping from a Sufferer by running is not recommended, as they are fast and can hear you. The best way to hide from a Sufferer is to stay hidden and produce as little sound as possible, as they will not stay locked to a single prey for long.
