Level 40 is the 41st level of the Voidclusters.
» DESCRIPTION:
Level 40, also known as "CarniMall" is an infinite mall filled with carnival and summer decorations. Most of Level 40's hallways and structures are painted with pastel color tones; the hallways don't have lights or lightning fixtures, since the roof windows light the level. It is not recommended to look through the roof window since it has a similar effect to looking straight into the sun. The level is always in the afternoon and doesn't have a day and night cycle.
Fountains on this level are similar to swimming pools respective to their size. The water on these is not to be consumed, since it could cause negative effects on the human body. Food stands, drink stands, fast food shops, and small arcades are the most common shops found on the mall. Food stands and drink stands are mostly devoid from anomalies, and supplies can be found inside, so they're a recommended place to stay. Small arcades are a rare find. They have unique properties which is theorized to be the reason as to why Carnivalists tend to avoid them. However, they aren't empty of anomalies, since Lurkers and Impersonators are quite common to see.
The level has a high amount of supplies, so the only thing stopping outposts from establishing in Level 40 is the large number of anomalies roaming, especially Carnivalists.
Level 40.
» The Basement:
The Basement is a series of endless hallways and corridors filled with colorful pipes and a green-mint floor. The scent of chlorine is really strong in here and is believed to come from the fountain pools in the upper floor. No anomalies are found in the basement however, on many occasions, Carnivalist corpses have been found laying on the floor.
When arriving to The Basement, one will be spoken to by a speaker saying the following lines:
"Welcome to the Palace of Mortuum" It is still unknown what this means, but it is believed to have a connection to Sufferers or Carnivalists.
You can access The Basement by finding a rare door with a sign saying "Floor -1." Beware, since near the entrance door, Sufferers could be found waiting for prey.
» COMMUNITIES:
- Pipe Masters
They're the only confirmed outpost in Level 40, and they have a population of 32. They settled in one of the corridors of The Basement. They're mostly neutral and keep to themselves. It is recommended to bring Oat Milk, since they are always willing to trade it for anything.
» ANOMALIES:
- Lurkers can be found in the dark spots of the arcades.
- Impersonators have been known to hunt in the arcades.
- Sufferers can rarely be found waiting for prey in The Basement.
- Carnivalists can be found in much of Level 40, except for the arcades or The Basement. They are mostly found near fast food shops.
» ENTRANCES:
Level 40 can be accessed from an elevator in Level 20, entering a door in Level 42 with a giant blue eye, and entering a mall in Level 100.
» EXITS:
The only confirmed way of exiting is jumping into one of the pools and being brought to Level 10 or Level 8.
