Level 8 is the 9th level of the Voidclusters.
» DESCRIPTION:
Level 8, also known as "The Void Storm" is an infinite North American town, with a hurricane-like storm happening constantly. Despite the constant storms, all street lights and traffic lights are fully functioning,1 and no buildings on the level have been seen collapsing.2. It is mostly advised to stay in the buildings of the levels during the storms.
The level possess a day and night cycle, which sets it apart from other levels, as well as the storm phases, the 'storm' phase and the 'calm' phase, that alternate based on the day of the week.
It is recommended to stay in the buildings of the level, despite the anomaly count, as they have many supplies and useful objects lying around. Buildings of the level have been reported to be the ones a normal town would have, such as; hospitals, schools, stores, police stations, gas stations, restaurants, etc. Each building has supplies and objects related to its role, but some buildings, like hospitals and big stores, have been reported to have a higher anomaly count, so they should only be used to find essential supplies like medical kits or food.
STORM PHASES
- Calm
During the 'calm' phase, the storm has become nothing but a mild shower, and all you see outside is the aftermath. The TVs inside the buildings curiously drive away any anomalies. It is advised for travelers to open the window and turn on the news ONLY when it is currently the 'calm' phase. Having the news on at any other time attracts entities to your location. Stock up on equipment and weapons — the storm is coming.
- Storm
The 'storm' phase is when the hurricane is at its strongest — 150 mile per hour winds, torrential downpour, and dangerous flooding. Tornadoes, lightning, and tsunamis will devour the town. Interestingly, the storm does not hinder dangerous anomalies, instead strengthening them.
Storm phases by day of the week:
Monday: Calm
Tuesday: Storm
Wednesday: Calm
Thursday: Storm
Friday: Calm
Saturday: Calm
Sunday: Storm
» COMMUNITIES:
Because of the dangers from the one-week period in the level, no colonies or outposts have been formed.
» ANOMALIES:
- Roamers can be seen swimming around the flooded streets during the 'storm' phase.
- Lurkers have been reported hiding in the darker corners of the buildings and trees.
- Sufferers are notably hostile in Level 8, and should be avoided.
- Loners can be seen roaming the streets during the 'calm' phase, but are significantly more dangerous during the 'storm' phase.
» OBJECTS:
- TVs display the news, and surprisingly stay on during power outages. During the 'storm' phase, the news will broadcast the weather status and information, asking travelers to stay safe. During the 'calm' phase, they will play TV shows and movies from Earth, localized to your previous home on Earth3.
- Backpacks contain random objects, and can be found in random places.
» ENTRANCES:
If you approach an area in the back of the hills where it rains in Level 7, you will end up here. If you walk through a door with an exit sign in Level 17, you will end up here.
» EXITS:
To exit, you can fall asleep and wake up in Level 9. A rare exit is by finding a secret patch of grass with a sign saying "DANGER AHEAD". Front-flip into the patch of grass, and you will be sent to Level 12. The most common exit is to find a school and enter one of the classrooms, which leads you into Level 15.
